PESHAWAR: The athletes of Government City Girls College Gulbahar once again demonstrated outstanding performance in the field of sports by securing the first position and winning the gold medal in the kabaddi event of the Inter-College Sports Competitions.
In addition, the college earned bronze medals in both badminton and table tennis events. The competitions were held at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women’s University, Peshawar, where a series of inter-college sports events took place. Government City Girls College, Gulbahar and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University qualified for the kabaddi final. In a thrilling match, the players of City Girls College showcased excellent skills and defeated the host team with a score of 39-27, clinching the gold medal.
On this remarkable achievement, the Principal of Government City Girls College, Gulbahar, Professor Rabia Sikandar, congratulated the entire sports team, including Sports In-charge Najma Naz Qazi, the coach, and all the players. She extended her best wishes for their future endeavours and praised their hard work and dedication that brought honour to the college.
