PESHAWAR: The governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, has conferred Pakistan civil awards on seven personalities in recognition of their services, excellence, and sacrifices in their respective fields.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Faisal Karim Kundi presented the awards during the Pakistan Day event held at the governor’s house in Peshawar on Sunday. The event was attended by officials from civil and military leadership.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi awarded 7 personalities of the province with Presidential Civil Awards on behalf of the President of Pakistan.
Four personalities of the province were awarded ‘Tamgha Shujaat’ and 3 personalities with the Presidential Civil Award of ‘Tamgha Imtiaz’.
The Governor awarded Saeed Khan (deceased) with Tamgha Shujaat posthumously in recognition of his bravery.
He awarded Sahib Khan with Tamgha Shujaat in recognition of his bravery.
Similarly, Malik Mehmood Jan (martyr) and Samiullah Khan (martyr) were awarded the Presidential Civil Award posthumously in recognition of their bravery.
The Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa awarded Dr. Akifullah Khan with the Presidential Civil Award Tamgha Imtiaz for his valuable services in the field of medicine.
Peshawar Press Club president and renowned journalist Arshad Aziz Malik was presented with the Presidential Civil Award Tamgha Imtiaz for his valuable services in the field of journalism.
The Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa awarded Bakhtiar Ahmed Khattak with the Presidential Civil Award Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in recognition of his valuable services in the field of singing.
The ceremony was attended by Air Vice Marshal Taimur Iqbal, Secretary Administration Department Shahid Sohail, and the relatives of the awardees in large numbers.
In the major event of Pakistan Day in Islamabad, President Asif Ali Zardari presented 104 national awards among Pakistanis and foreigners on Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day last year in recognition of their services, excellence, and sacrifices in their respective fields.
