Governor KP congratulates nation on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbir

PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi congratulates the entire nation on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbir, May 28 and said that today was the day when Pakistan emerged as the first Islamic nuclear power in the world.

 

Faisal Karim Kundi said that Youm-e-Takbir is a golden day in the country’s history and a day of renewal of the country’s defense and security. Faisal Karim Kundi said that this day has become a symbol for pride, determination and self-restraint for the Pakistani nation.

 

“I salute the leadership skills of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto for laying the foundation for making the country a nuclear power”, Faisal Karim Kundi said. He added that those nations become invincible which stand with the spirit of sacrifice and unity. Pakistan’s befitting response to the recent Indian aggression has caused great concern to the world, including India.

 

Yom Takbeer is proof that the sovereignty and national dignity of the country will not be compromised and no one would be allowed to allowed to be undermined. He said that on this day, Pakistan emerged as the first Islamic nuclear power in the world, responding decisively to its adversaries’ nuclear arrogance and proving that the nation is willing to go to any length for its defense.

 

In his message, the Governor emphasized that Youm-e-Takbeer is not just a commemoration of nuclear tests, but a celebration of the historic journey initiated by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who declared, “We will eat grass, but we will make the atom bomb.” This journey culminated in 1998, despite intense global pressure, and represents the nation’s resolve, unity, and sacrifices.

 

He noted that Youm-e-Takbeer conveys a powerful message: while Pakistan desires peace, progress, and prosperity in the region and the world, it will never compromise on its sovereignty and national dignity. The recent firm response to Indian aggression, he added, was a small glimpse of Pakistan’s defense capabilities and a clear message to adversaries to never forget the truth of our strength.

 

Governor Kundi called on the nation to pay tribute to the country’s great scientists, patriotic leadership, armed forces, and every individual who contributed to making Pakistan a strong, dignified, and nuclear-capable state. He concluded by saying that Youm-e-Takbeer is not just a day—it is an ideology, a commitment, and a message that by the mercy of God Almighty, Pakistan will always remain proud and resilient.
