PESHAWAR: Like other parts of the country, Yaumi Tashakur (Day of gratitude) was observed in connection of the May 10 Pakistan victory in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor House, where Faisal Karim Kundi hoisted the national flag in the green area of the Governor House. After the flag hoisting ceremony, prayers were offered for the historic victory against Indian aggression. On this occasion, prayers were also offered for the integrity and sovereignty of the country. A minute of silence was observed for the martyrs of the Battle of Morika-e-Haq in the ceremony.
In the ceremony, the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa congratulated the armed forces and the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the people of the country, on the historic victory of the Pakistan army and Air Force. He said today, the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the people of the country, are grateful to Allah Almighty for making us victorious. He said that they salute the courage, skill and great bravery of our armed forces against Indian aggression. He added that the entire nation has shown solidarity against Indian aggression and proved that they are united with the Pakistan armed forces. “Our armed forces have made the country and nation proud in the world by ensuring the defence of the country”, Faisal Karim Kundi said.

This day marks the successful execution of Operation Bunyan Ul Marsoos, a military operation launched by Pakistan in response to escalating tensions with India.
