ISLAMABAD: The federal government of Pakistan has declared Saturday, September 6 as a public holiday in observance of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) and Defence Day.
The announcement was made through a formal notification issued by the Cabinet Division in this regard. All government offices, educational institutions, and most private organisations will remain closed on Saturday.
Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) is a significant religious occasion for Muslims worldwide, commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), which falls on the 12th of Rabi’ al-Awwal, the third month of the Islamic calendar.
