Govt Blocks Passports of 53,000 Pakistanis Over Illegal Emigration

Over 45,000 Pakistani citizens were deported from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, and Qatar in the past six months for illegal imigration. Officials confirmed that thousands more were arrested at the Iran border, with 1,500 currently jailed.

The FIA reported that 4,000 Pakistanis were caught hitchhiking, while 3,000 face legal cases. Interpol has been contacted to extradite wanted human smugglers.

In a separate incident, over 400 Pakistanis died in four boat accidents in two years. The FIA plans to open offices in Iran, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Oman, UAE, Greece, and Spain to curb illegal migration.
