BANNU: Two government employees abducted earlier this month in Bannu have been safely recovered last night.
As per media reports, Nauman Hussaini, and Ashfaque from the Health Department of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were abducted from the Domel Police Station area of Bannu district on April 6.
The kidnappers released the two hostages last night, allowing them to return home safely.
During their captivity, both employees made a heartfelt video appeal to the government and local leaders for their release.
Earlier today, local leaders had announced plans for a roadblock; however, the situation has since calmed following the successful recovery of the hostages.
Reports suggest that their release is attributed to the relentless efforts of local community leaders.
