Pakistan’s Hajj Operation Begins with First Flight Today

ISLAMABAD: The government on Saturday extended the deadline for submitting Hajj applications by one day.

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, nominated banks will now accept applications until August 18. Over the past 12 days, more than 110,000 applications have been received.

A ministry spokesperson said that around 7,000 seats remain in the quota, and applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. The process will close once the quota is filled.

However, the ministry clarified that the deadline for the online portal would not be extended, as it ended at midnight on August 16.
