ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced a sharp increase in petroleum prices, effective immediately.
According to a new notification, the price of petrol has risen by Rs 8.36 per liter, while diesel has become more expensive by Rs 10.39 per liter.
The hike comes amid fluctuations in global oil markets and will likely impact transportation costs and inflation in the country.
