KOHAT: Two children were killed, and two others were injured in a grenade explosion in Kohat on Thursday evening.
Rescue sources said that the grenade explosion occurred in the Sheikhan area.
According to Rescue 1122, the injured children were shifted to the Divisional Headquarters Hospital; however, the condition of one child was said to be critical, and he has been shifted to a hospital in Peshawar.
One of the deceased children is said to be 11 years old, and the other is 13 years old.
District Police Officer Zahidullah said that the children were playing outside their house when the pin of the grenade fell out, resulting in the death of two children and the injury of two others.
The DPO said he had asked the concerned police station and circle officers to investigate the incident thoroughly.
