GILGIT: A heartbreaking incident in Gilgit’s Chalt Nagar area claimed six lives, including the groom, when a vehicle carrying wedding guests skidded off a sharp turn and plunged into a river.
Rescue officials reported that the groom was traveling with family members to bring home the bride when the tragedy occurred. All the victims belonged to the same family.
So far, three bodies have been recovered, while rescue teams continue efforts to retrieve the remaining victims from the river.
