Hard-hitting batter Asif Ali bids farewell to international cricket

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s middle-order batter Asif Ali has officially announced his retirement from international cricket.

In a statement shared on social media, the hard-hitting batsman expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his fans, teammates, and coaches for their unwavering support throughout his international journey.

The 33-year-old batter also paid a special tribute to his family and friends, acknowledging their role in helping him stay strong during some of the most challenging moments of his life.

Asif Ali confirmed that he will continue playing domestic and league cricket, keeping his passion for the game alive.

Asif Ali made his international debut in 2018 and represented Pakistan in 21 One-Day Internationals and 58 T20 Internationals. Known for his aggressive batting style and finishing ability, Asif played his last match for Pakistan in 2023.
