HARIPUR: Haripur police on Monday claimed to have arrested a suspect who was involved in sexually harassing, and blackmailing her. The suspect had trapped the complainant by offering a job.
The arrest was made within the limits of Sarai Saleh Police Station.
A statement issued by the Haripur district police officer, Farhan Khan, on Monday, said that stern action had been taken soon after they received a complaint against the accused.
The statement noted that the accused was nominated by the complainant (victim) for blackmailing, sexually raping and Harassing her by offering a Job.
It said on the complaint of the victim, an FIR had been registered against the accused Muhammad Babar under Sections 376, 355, 354, 506, 365, 511, 292C of the Pakistan Penal Code.
According to the statement, the suspect would be produced before the court to secure police custody and continue further interrogation into the case.
