ISLAMABAD: The Civil Aviation Authority said that hopes are high for restoring direct flights from Pakistan to the United States and soon it will be permanently restored to facilitate the passengers.
As per the sources of CAA, officials from the United States Federal Aviation Authority have chalked out plans for a visit to Pakistan, signalling renewed cooperation between the FAA and the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
It has been learned that officers from the US aviation are also expected to visit the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) office during their upcoming visit, sources confirmed. Bilateral discussions will be held between officials from both countries regarding the resumption of direct flights from Pakistan to the United States.
Sources within the CAA hinted that the Federal Aviation Authority visit could pave the way for lifting the longstanding restrictions on direct air travel between the two nations. Direct flights from Pakistan to the United States have been suspended for several years.
It is to be noted that the US Aviation banned Pakistani airlines in 2020 when news circulated regarding the fake licenses of PIA pilots. The news significantly tarnished the image of the company, and numerous countries took action on this news to cancel the permission of airline.
