KHYBER: Three people including a baby girl were killed in the wee hours of Wednesday in a house collapse as heavy rain lashed large parts of the Khyber district.
According to locals, the roof of a mud house gave way following rain in Yar Gul Khel area of Bar Qamber Khel of Khyber district.
A young man named Bismillah, his wife and young daughter lost their lives when the roof of their room collapsed due to rain in the remote Tirah Valley, Barkambarkhel, Yargalkhel area of Khyber District. The couple and their little daughter, who were buried under the rubble, were rescued by the voluntary action of local people.
According to rescue 1122, in the Lwara Maina area of Mullagori tehsil of Khyber, the roof of a mud house gave way following heavy rainfall.
As a result, Bismillah along with his wife and young daughter were buried alive under the debris. The local people rushed to the site and conducted rescue efforts. They recovered bodies from the rubble.
