According to the latest research, Individuals who have experienced childhood trauma are more likely to suffer from depression and anxiety during their youth or old age. Childhood trauma can trigger recurring mental flashbacks, nightmares, and intense fears.
Experts claimed that such individuals may also face low self-confidence, difficulties in relationships, or develop overly defensive behaviours. There is also a tendency for increased substance abuse following traumatic experiences.
