Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will return as host for the 19th season of India’s popular reality show Bigg Boss, but this time with a significant reduction in his fee. The new season is set to premiere on August 19 and is expected to run for approximately five months, making it potentially the longest season yet.
According to Indian media reports, Khan will host the show for the first 15 weeks and will be paid between ₹120 to ₹150 crore, a notable drop from his previous earnings. In earlier seasons, he reportedly charged up to ₹250 crore, with his fee for Bigg Boss 17 being around ₹200 crore.
There were earlier speculations that directors Farah Khan, Karan Johar, and Anil Kapoor might host the final two months, but this remains unconfirmed. The show’s extended duration and Khan’s reduced compensation have sparked discussions among fans and industry observers.
