The foreign workers’ remittances show a record growth with a total of 3.1 million dollars only in August through the banking channel.
According to the State Bank, remittances have increased by 6.6% in terms of growth and workers’ remittances have increased by 7.0% in the first two months of the current fiscal year.
The State Bank says that workers remitted more than $730 million from Saudi Arabia and more than $640 million from the United Arab Emirates.
According to the State Bank, remittances of more than $460 million from the UK, more than $260 million from the US and more than $430 million from European countries have been sent to the country.
