Pakistan’s security sources have made it clear that if India tries to stop Pakistan’s water by abrogating the Indus Waters Treaty, Pakistan will destroy that installation with its full military might.
Security sources told journalists on Thursday that when Pakistan says in diplomatic language that “blocking or diverting water is an act of war”, what does it mean? Reacting to this, security sources said that if and when India takes any act of war by blocking or diverting water or makes any plan that is to stop or divert Pakistan’s share of water under the Indus Waters Treaty, then Pakistan will destroy that installation with its full military might.
Security sources say that Pakistan has declared that water is Pakistan’s “core national interest”, meaning that if India endangers this interest, Pakistan can go to any extent, even to the point of using nuclear weapons. Security sources made it clear that Pakistan’s political and military leadership will not think for a moment and will immediately attack the point from which Pakistan’s water supply is threatened.
