NOWSHERA: Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zulfiqar Hameed visited Akora Khattak to offer condolences on the martyrdom of Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani in a suicide bombing.
The Deputy Chief of Darul Uloom Haqqania and head of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam- Sami (JUI-S) Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani had lost his life in a tragic suicide attack on Friday at the Jamia Masjid’s gate.
The IGP met the martyr’s family and expressed deep sorrow over their loss. He assured them that the perpetrators of this heinous act would be tracked down and brought to justice. He also offered Fateha for Maulana Hamidul Haq and pledged full police support to the grieving family.
Paying tribute to the contributions of late Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani, the IGP said that he had dedicated his life to promoting religious education. He vowed that the legacy of his efforts would remain alive.
The IGP reaffirmed the police’s commitment to securing all madrasas, mosques, and scholars, regardless of sectarian affiliation. He stressed that terrorists have no religion and aim to spread chaos. He declared the attack a serious challenge for law enforcement and vowed to expose the terrorist network behind it.
He assured that every possible resource would be used to bring the facilitators to justice. He also warned that those disturbing peace would face strict action.
