In a recent television appearance, PMLN leader from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ikhtiar Wali Khan, expressed strong reservations about the induction of Pervez Khattak into the federal government.
He cautioned his own party, PMLN, and its supremo Nawaz Sharif, drawing parallels to past political events.
Ikhtiar Wali recounted a conversation with former Prime Minister Imran Khan, in which he had warned that Pervez Khattak would “make the first hole in your boat.
” He claimed that his prediction had come true, as Khattak’s actions allegedly contributed to internal discord within Imran Khan’s party.
Now, Ikhtiar Wali has issued a similar warning to Nawaz Sharif and the current Prime Minister, stating that Khattak could pose a similar risk to their political stability.
Pervez Khattak, a prominent political figure, was previously expelled from his own party and has been a controversial figure in Pakistani politics.
During the 2024 elections, Khattak was accused of defaming state agencies by claiming to be their “servant” and asserting that he would become the next Chief Minister.
Ikhtiar Wali dismissed these claims, stating that Khattak has no significant backing or influence, humorously remarking that Khattak “has no agency except crisp chips and Lifebuoy soap.”
