RAWALPINDI : Several Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, including Aleema Khan and her sisters, met the party founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail on Tuesday amid strict police restrictions. However, key figures like Barrister Gohar Khan, Senator Ali Zafar, and Salman Akram Raja were barred from entering.
Aleema Khan, along with her sisters Uzma Khanum and Noreen Khanum, as well as lawyer Zaheer Abbas Chaudhry and KP government spokesperson Barrister Saif, were permitted to meet the PTI founder. Meanwhile, Bushra Bibi was visited by her sister-in-law Mehr-e-Nissa Ahmed and daughters Mubashara Sheikh and Mehr-e-Nissa Manika.
Speaking to the media outside the jail, Aleema Khan claimed the PTI founder conveyed that he and Bushra Bibi were facing oppression, citing media restrictions and human rights violations. She said he urged party members to end internal divisions and focus on the movement, expressing satisfaction over 300 lawmakers joining the Lahore protest.
Separately, PTI leaders held a press conference where Punjab Assembly Opposition Leader Ahmed Khan Bhachar vowed to continue protests in Lahore until August 5. PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja stated that the party would not award tickets based on money and emphasized unity under the founder’s directives.
