BANNU: Including five women and four children, 9 persons were martyred and 20 others were injured due to rooftops and walls collapsing owing to the intensity of suicide bombings in Bannu on Tuesday soon after Iftar.
According to security sources, five women and 4 children among the martyred who died due to the rooftops and walls collapsing because of bombing intensity as suicide bombers attacked the Bannu Cantt this evening.
Security sources said that five terrorists had been eliminated and rescue work was underway.
It should be remembered that in today’s attacks, security forces took timely action and killed 6 terrorists.
The area has been completely cleared of terrorists by the security forces and the Pakistan Army has taken control of the area.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has condemned the Bannu attack and sought a report from the higher authorities.
The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while expressing grief over the loss of precious human lives in the blast, prayed for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and patience for the survivors.
The Chief Minister has directed the district administration to ensure timely medical assistance to the injured for the speedy recovery of the injured in the blast.
