NEW DELHI: Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri announced a ceasefire with Pakistan.
This development comes following U.S.-mediated negotiations aimed at de-escalating the recent tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
According to Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, both countries have agreed to a “full and immediate ceasefire.”
The announcement was also made by U.S. President Donald Trump, who wrote on social media: “After a long night of talks mediated by the United States, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a full and immediate ceasefire. Congratulations to both countries on using common sense and great wisdom.”
