India submits KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur’s statement as evidence against Pakistan at FATF

The Indian government has presented a statement made by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur as evidence against Pakistan in the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
As reported by Geo News, FATF officials say that India has presented Ali Amin Gandapur’s statement in which he said that we arrest the Taliban, but state institutions release them.
The Indian government has based this statement on the position that Pakistan allegedly protects terrorists.
India has demanded that FATF re-include Pakistan in the grey list.
FATF officials say that India has presented this statement as a kind of charge sheet against Pakistan to prove that concessions are being given to terrorist elements at the state level.
It should be noted that Pakistan was removed from the FATF grey list in October 2022, where it had been included since 2018. India is continuously making efforts to get Pakistan back on the grey list, and for this purpose, Indian media and authorities are using various statements and evidence.

In the wake of deteriorated law and order situation in Bannu, security forces imposed curfew and have started preparation for a military operation in the area.

The move comes after recent security measures in Bajaur district, where a similar curfew is already in effect. Security forces and the district administration have imposed a complete lockdown in the sensitive area of ​​Nour in Bannu in view of possible threats and have directed citizens not to leave their homes unnecessarily and to immediately report any suspicious activity or persons to nearby forces.

A statement issued by the district administration has warned that miscreants may try to use citizens as human shields, so the public needs to exercise special caution. Officials say that a close watch is being kept on unusual movements. Officials have made it clear that strict legal action will be taken against anyone who shelters terrorists.

“The house from which the firing was carried out will be demolished immediately.” the statement siad.  The district police, CTD and other law enforcement agencies are on full alert, while citizens have been asked to cooperate and show responsibility.

It should be noted that Bannu and the surrounding areas have witnessed an increase in terrorist incidents in recent weeks, following which these extraordinary measures are being taken.
