ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has declared that India committed a grave mistake by launching aggression against Pakistan, and will now face the consequences of its actions.
In a televised address to the nation, the prime minister said, “They may have expected us to retreat—but they forgot this is a nation of the brave, of unshakable resolve, forged in fire, and ready to defend its honour and sovereignty to the last drop of blood.”
Sharif stated that the entire world witnessed how Pakistan’s outnumbered forces humbled a militarily superior enemy within hours. “By the grace of Allah, our falcons unleashed a storm that made the enemy wail. Five of their warplanes—once their pride—now lie in ashes, symbols of humiliation.”
The prime minister likened the forceful retaliation to the legendary spirit of Squadron Leader MM Alam. “That roar echoed again last night. Our falcons struck with such precision and intensity that even time may not heal the wounds inflicted,” he remarked.
He strongly condemned India’s cowardly attacks, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians and injured 46 others, including women and children.
“I just came from the funeral of a seven-year-old child. He was at home with his mother and brother when shrapnel struck. Before he could truly begin to live, he returned to his Creator,” he said, his voice heavy with emotion. “Tell me with your hand on your heart—how can we accept the withering of such a tender flower before it blooms?”
Sharif paid tribute to the martyrs who made the ultimate sacrifice and reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to their memory. “We promise that every drop of our martyrs’ blood will be avenged.”
He reiterated that under the cover of darkness, India targeted civilian areas, effectively declaring war. In response, Pakistan’s armed forces acted swiftly, shooting down five Indian fighter jets—including three Rafales—and eliminating multiple Indian military positions, including a brigade headquarters.
In a final act of surrender, the Indian military reportedly raised white flags over the Churrah Complex near the Line of Control, acknowledging defeat.
