Following international isolation and humiliating defeat, Indian media has started a new wave of false news and propaganda with claims that India allegedly shot down Pakistan’s six aircraft.
These claims come after global reports confirmed that Pakistan downed multiple Indian jets in early May. India Today published the story, quoting unnamed “sources” without providing any evidence.
They claim Pakistan lost six jets, two surveillance aircraft, a C-130 plane, and many drones. They also claim they used Rafale and Su-30 jets and long-range cruise missiles.
However, no global media outlet has reported any Pakistani aircraft losses. No international defence analyst, satellite image, or video confirms India’s claims.
Meanwhile, global experts, including US and French officials, confirmed Indian losses. India had launched airstrikes on Pakistani civilians on May 6–7, killing over 30 people.
Pakistan responded, and international media reported India’s failure and losses. Facing global embarrassment, India is now trying to reverse the story. Indian media, known for pushing fake state narratives, has made false claims again.
Analysts say this is an attempt to control the domestic audience after failure abroad. More than 8,000 accounts have been banned on X and other platforms in India.
Independent voices, journalists, and critics have been silenced. This crackdown is being seen as part of India’s cover-up of its military failure.
Dr Christine Fair, a top South Asia expert, slammed Indian media’s role. She said India failed to deter Pakistan and later begged for a de-escalation. Fair added that Indian media became a joke globally due to loud, false reporting.
She even walked off a show hosted by Arnab Goswami, calling it toxic propaganda.
India’s new claims have no proof and no international backing. It appears to be another effort to shift focus from its real battlefield defeat.
Pakistan has not reported any such losses. The world is watching, but not buying India’s story this time either.
