ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday praised Pakistan’s intelligence agencies for their “pivotal role” in securing victory against India during the recent conflict, calling them the “silent warriors” of national defence.
Speaking at an event in Lahore, he said the country’s spy agencies had acted proactively to expose “every Indian plan,” ensuring that Pakistan remained aware of New Delhi’s moves. He noted that despite criticism from some quarters, their efforts had been decisive.
Commenting on Indian domestic politics, Naqvi alleged that Indian NSA Ajit Doval and the Home Minister were the “main characters” behind the Pahalgam attack drama, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi had used to blame Pakistan. He claimed such tactics reflected divisions between India’s political and military leadership and warned that the BJP government’s hawkish stance would “lead India towards destruction.”
The minister reiterated Pakistan’s long-standing stance that India is involved in sponsoring terrorism inside the country. He specifically accused New Delhi of supporting the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) — a group recently designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) by the United States, along with its alias, the Majeed Brigade.
