Internal rift in PTI: Imran Khan summons Ali Amin, Junaid Akbar to Adiala Jail

ISLAMABAD:  Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI ) founding chairman Imran Khan has summoned Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and party’s provincial chief Junaid Akbar to Adiala Jail for a meeting.

Officials of the Chief Minister’s Secretariat confirmed the invitation by the founder PTI.

Sources say that the founder PTI has given instructions to change the party leadership of Sindh.

Alamgir Khan is likely to be given party responsibility in Karachi.

The founder PTI has instructed to include Kanwal Shozab and Alia Hamza in the political committee.

Last month, Imran Khan had appointed MNA Junaid Akbar as the party’s president in KP to replace Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.

Junaid Akbar is critics of the Ali Amin Gandapur and considered close Atif Khan’s camp. Soon after becoming president, he said in a conversation with a private news channel that Imran Khan to decide the fate of Ali Amin as chief minister.

Differences among the KP chapter further intensified as Ali Amin Gandapur de-notified his focal person Junaid Akbar Khan for coming forward to defend sacked minister Shakil Ahmad Khan against the chief minister in August last year.

Ali Amin Gandapur had removed provincial minister for communications and works Shakil Ahmad Khan on the allegations of corruption.
