The Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, Engineer Amir Muqam, has said that Kashmiri brethren living in the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) are living a miserable life due to the Modi government’s actions.
Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON Engineer Amir Muqam’s special participation and address at the “Yekjehati Kashmir” rally in Chakothi area of the Line of Control.
“I am very happy to be present on the land of martyrs, mujahideen and ghazis,” Mr Muqam said.
He said they wanted peace, but if India started the war, their brave forces would make India taste defeat.
Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, Engineer Amir Muqam, reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the people of Indian-occupied Kashmir during his visit to the Line of Control (LoC) in Chakothi. Speaking at the “Kashmir Solidarity” rally, Muqam praised the bravery and resilience of the Kashmiri people, declaring that Pakistan stands firmly with them in their struggle for self-determination.
Addressing a large crowd, Muqam said, “I am proud to be standing on the land of martyrs, mujahideen, and ghazis. This is the same ground where Captain Sarwar Shaheed embraced martyrdom while fighting the enemy and was awarded the Nishan-e-Haider.” He added that the people of the LoC have consistently foiled India’s strategies, including what he termed the “Ajit Doval doctrine.”
The federal minister visited the Chakothi unit of the Pakistan Army, where he appreciated the dedication of the armed forces. “The passion I witnessed among Kashmiris during this three-day visit proves that they are fully committed to standing with Pakistan and its armed forces,” he stated.
Muqam emphasised that while Pakistan desires peace, any act of aggression by India would be met with a “humiliating defeat.” He praised the courage of the LoC residents who have long faced Indian shelling and militarisation. “Despite 77 years of Indian atrocities, Kashmiris have not surrendered their spirit of freedom,” he remarked.
Referring to the broader geopolitical context, Muqam rejected India’s narrative linking the Pahalgam incident to Pakistan, calling it a fabricated attempt to malign the country. He reiterated Pakistan’s call for a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue based on United Nations Security Council resolutions.

Former AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan also addressed the rally, thanking Muqam for his visit and declaring that Kashmiris will remain on the frontlines in the event of Indian aggression. “Our people have fought Indian hostilities for decades, and every child here is ready to defend Kashmir alongside the Pakistan Army,” he said.
PML-N Azad Kashmir President Shah Ghulam Qadir warned India against miscalculation. “If India dares any misadventure, it will receive nothing but body bags in return,” he said, affirming the unity of the Kashmiri people beyond political lines.
Other speakers at the rally included former ministers Raja Mushtaq Minhas, Ms. Noreen Arif, Barrister Iftikhar Gilani, Dr. Mustafa Bashir, and Murtaza Gilani. They condemned India’s ongoing illegal actions in occupied Kashmir and pledged full support to the Pakistan Army.
Thousands of PML-N supporters attended the rally, chanting slogans in favour of Pakistan and its armed forces, underscoring the deep-rooted solidarity among Kashmiris for their cause and the country’s defence.
