Iranian state media has claimed that its military downed 10 Israeli military aircraft within an hour, escalating tensions between the two nations.
According to the Mehr News Agency, a commander at Iran’s Khatam Al-Anbiya Air Defense Base stated that the aircraft were shot down in different regions of the country. However, no further details, such as the types of aircraft or evidence, were provided.
This comes just a day after Iran alleged that it shot down an Israeli F-35 fighter jet over its airspace. On Saturday, Iranian forces reportedly intercepted and destroyed the advanced stealth aircraft.
Additionally, Iran’s Tasnim News Agency claimed yesterday that two more Israeli warplanes were downed, and a female pilot was captured. Israeli authorities have not yet commented on these claims.
So far, there has been no independent verification of Iran’s assertions. The reported incidents, if true, would mark a significant escalation in the ongoing shadow conflict between Iran and Israel.
