Iran has reportedly launched a cyber attack targeting Israeli citizens’ mobile phones, sending false alerts urging them to seek shelter and stockpile fuel. Israeli authorities quickly identified the messages as part of an Iranian cyber operation and warned the public to ignore them.
The cyber attack follows a major missile and drone assault by Iran on Israel overnight, with strikes hitting Tel Aviv and Haifa. The Haifa refinery suffered a complete production shutdown, and three employees were killed in the attack. The Iranian Revolutionary Guards have vowed to continue strikes into the morning.
Earlier on Monday, Iran fired dozens of missiles at Israel, killing at least eight people and injuring 92. Since Friday, the total death toll from Iranian attacks has risen to 24, with over 600 injured. The conflict shows no signs of de-escalation as tensions between the two nations reach new heights.
