According to news agencies, Iran has launched missile attacks on US bases in Iraq and Syria after Qatar, and several explosions have been heard in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
According to a report by the international news agency Reuters, several explosions have been heard in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
Reuters reported, citing AXIS, that an Israeli official said that Iran had fired 6 missiles at US bases in Qatar.
On the other hand, according to Iran’s semi-official news agency Mehr News Agency, Iran has also targeted US bases in Iraq in addition to Qatar.
According to the British daily Telegraph, Western officials had previously said that the Al-Udeid base, located on the outskirts of Doha, faces a ‘credible threat’.
The base is the headquarters of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), and British military personnel also serve here on a rotating basis, however, several aircraft have been moved from the base in recent weeks, as shown by satellite images.
According to the Iranian state news agency Press TV, sirens are also sounding in Bahrain and military personnel at US bases in Iraq have gone to shelters after the attack on the Al-Udeid base in Qatar.
Iran has also attacked a US military base in Syria, after which security in the area has been tightened.
Iranian media has claimed that a US base in Syria’s western Hasakah province has been targeted. Security at the main entrance to the US military base was further tightened immediately after the attack.
No one, including the media, is being allowed to go to the US military base, which has made it difficult to obtain accurate news. So far, no details have been released about possible casualties or property losses in the attack, nor has any group claimed responsibility for the attack.
Earlier, news had been circulating since late last night that pro-Iranian military organizations in Syria were planning to target American military bases.
