Iran-Israel conflict: Trump calls for regime change in Iran

Trump says US has bombed 3 nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow

WASHINGTON: U.S. President Donald Trump, in a statement on his social media platform ‘Truth Social’, hinted at the possibility of regime change in Iran, saying that while the term may not be politically correct, it becomes relevant if the Iranian government fails to deliver the dignity its people deserve.

Commenting on the recent U.S. airstrikes targeting Iranian nuclear facilities, Trump termed the operation a “remarkable military success,” claiming the action had effectively neutralized Iran’s nuclear threat. “The bomb has been taken out of their hands. Had they gotten the chance, they would have used it,” he wrote.

Trump went on to praise the U.S. military for what he called an “incredible and truly special” performance during the operation.

Meanwhile, international analysts believe the United States, Israel, and some European powers have been laying the groundwork for regime change in Iran for years, leveraging support from various political, ethnic, and linguistic factions within the country.

Following the Israeli strikes, Iran now faces growing internal economic pressures, the threat of public protests, and mounting diplomatic challenges. Analysts are debating the potential outcomes of a power shift in Tehran — questioning who might fill the vacuum and whether a new leadership could bring stability or further unrest to the region.
