Iran, Russia, Uzbekistan extend warm Wishes on Pakistan indipendece -day

A spectacular event honoring Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day will take place at Expo City Dubai on August 10, with over 60,000 participants expected to join. Organized under "Emirates Loves Pakistan", the ceremony is supported by the Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) and Dubai Police.

ISLAMABAD: Embassies and ambassadors worldwide extended warm congratulations to Pakistan on its 78th Independence Day.

Iran  praised Pakistan’s “invincible perseverance, unity, and brilliant achievements,” calling the strong bonds of friendship, mutual respect, and cooperation between the two neighbors “very dear,” wishing for deeper ties.

Russia commended Pakistan’s “significant progress” across many fields since independence, including contributions to space exploration, and its adherence to national values despite challenges. Russia wished Pakistan success and prosperity.

Japan’s Ambassador, Akamatsu Shochi, reaffirmed Japan’s support for a “strong and prosperous Pakistan” in a video message. Embassy staff in Islamabad sang “Jiwe Jiwe Pakistan.”

Ireland’s Ambassador, Mary O’Neill, quoted Allama Iqbal’s poetry while conveying congratulations from friends at home and abroad.

Uzbekistan’s Ambassador, Elsher Takhtiev, called August 14 a “day of pride and joy,” symbolizing dreams and sacrifice. He described relations as “ties of hearts,” strengthened by cooperation in trade, culture, education, and transport. He lauded Pakistan’s natural beauty and prayed for its strength, unity, and bright future.
