DI KHAN: Pakistani martial artist Irfan Mehsud has become the first Pakistani to hold 150 Guinness World Records in just nine years.
He surpassed the previous record held by a Chinese athlete for squats, completing 78 squats with a weight of 100 pounds to achieve his 150th world record. Irfan has also set the highest number of records globally in the push-up category, totalling 70.
Furthermore, he has established 40 world records while lifting 100 pounds.
Irfan holds records in various disciplines, including martial push-ups, squats, jumping jacks, step-ups, knee strikes, elbow strikes, side jumps, high jumps, and star jumps.
He has made these records in 20 different countries, including the United States, Britain, India, China, Norway, Germany, France, Finland, the Philippines, Spain, Italy, Lebanon, Egypt, Iraq, Pakistan, and Syria.
Additionally, 20 of Irfan Mehsud’s students have also set Guinness World Records under his guidance. In recognition of his achievements, he was awarded the Presidential Award for Excellence in 2023.
