ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a telephone conversation to discuss bilateral relations, regional security, and economic cooperation. Dar emphasized Pakistan’s desire to strengthen ties with the US, particularly in trade, investment, and counter-terrorism.
Rubio acknowledged economic cooperation as a key aspect of US-Pakistan relations. Both leaders also talked about potential investments in sectors like minerals. Dar highlighted Pakistan’s efforts in combating terrorism, which Rubio appreciated.

The discussion also covered the situation in Afghanistan and the issue of US military equipment. Both sides agreed to maintain close communication and collaborate for mutual benefit.
