ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to global peace, security, and the peaceful resolution of conflicts.
He conveyed this during a phone call received from United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres on Sunday night.
Dar also reiterated Pakistan’s ongoing support in facilitating the UN and its personnel in fulfilling their mandate effectively.
Highlighting Pakistan’s current role as President of the UN Security Council for July, he outlined key signature events being organized under its presidency to promote these goals.
Both leaders expressed anticipation for further engagement in New York next week during activities related to Pakistan’s UNSC presidency.
