Ishaq Dar to visit Bangladesh tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will pay an official visit to Dhaka on August 23 and 24 at the invitation of the Bangladesh government.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, during the visit to Dhaka, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister will meet with the top leadership of Bangladesh, including Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus and Advisor on Foreign Affairs Muhammad Towhid Hussain.

The spokesperson said that all aspects of Pak-Bangladesh bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues, will be discussed in these meetings.

It should be noted that Bangladesh’s relations with Pakistan are strengthening after the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government last year. Both countries are willing to expand relations in trade, security, industry and culture.

Pakistan always respects the positives steps being taken the Bangladeshi interim government for the promotion of bilateral relations, which will not only benefit both countries but will also boost people-to-people contact through easy visa processes.
