Islamabad

In a welcome development for outdoor enthusiasts, the district administration of Islamabad has announced the reopening of all hiking trails in the Margalla Hills. The decision follows a temporary closure due to recent rainfall in the capital.

Deputy Commissioner Islamabad confirmed that citizens can now access all trails, including the popular Margalla routes, starting today. The closure was initially implemented to ensure public safety during the period of heavy rainfall.

“The safety of citizens was our top priority,” stated the Deputy Commissioner. “With improved weather conditions and no forecast of rain in the coming days, we have decided to reopen the trails.”

According to the Meteorological Department, dry weather is expected to prevail, allowing hikers and nature lovers to safely return to the scenic trails of Margalla Hills.

The reopening has been met with enthusiasm by residents, especially fitness and nature lovers, who frequent the trails for hiking, jogging, and outdoor recreation.
