PESHAWAR: Security forces continue their operation against terrorists who attacked the Peshawar-bound Jaffar Express Train near Bolan Pass in Balochistan.
Security forces have so far rescued 190 passengers and killed 30 terrorists in the operation launched soon after terrorists attacked the Jaffar Express Train on Tuesday.
Security sources confirm the presence of suicide bombers among the attackers. The terrorists have placed them among innocent hostages.
Sources say that the bombers are wearing suicide vests and using women and children as human shields at three different locations.
Due to the presence of women and children with suicide bombers, extreme caution is being exercised in the operation, it added.
Security forces are acting with extreme caution and despite the challenge, they launched a rescue operation early Wednesday. They have so far killed 27 terrorists and safely evacuated 155 passengers.
The attack began on Tuesday when terrorists blew up the railway track, forcing the train to stop. More than 400 passengers were taken hostage.
Security forces are still engaged in the operation to secure the remaining hostages.
Sources say that the operation would continue until eliminating all terrorists.
