CHARSADDA :  A local political leader has expressed serious concern over the lack of basic facilities at the Tora Panra Primary School after visiting the site based on public complaints.

Naveed Khan, the Vice President of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), inspected the school and found it to be severely under-resourced. The school, which currently educates 240 students, has only two classrooms and three teachers.

This violates the government’s own policy, which requires one teacher for every 40 students.

Furthermore, the road leading to the school becomes filled with mud during rainy weather, making the journey dangerous and difficult for the young children who attend.

Khan stated that these conditions are “tantamount to playing with not only the education of children but also their future.” He demanded that the District Education Officer and local elected representatives take immediate action.

The demands include the appointment of additional teachers, the construction of new classrooms, and the repair of the damaged access road.

Khan issued a warning that if the authorities do not resolve these issues promptly, Jamaat-e-Islami will launch a major protest movement at the district level to pressure the government into taking action.
