ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman announced the ‘Murdabad Israel’ rally in Karachi on April 13 (Sunday).
In his video message on social networking sites X and Facebook, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that Palestine is burning, children are suffering and the rulers are silent.
He said that every individual of the Muslim Ummah should wake up and raise their voice and shake the rulers. This is the time to stand with our Muslim Palestinian brothers.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that a convention will be held on April 10 on the Palestine issue. All schools of thought will sit together in the convention and formulate a strategy. A grand ‘Death to Israel’ demonstration will be held in Karachi on April 13.
He further said that what is happening or has happened to the Muslims of Gaza in Palestine today at the hands of the Israeli Zionist forces is nothing but a black mark on the pages of history. Israel broke the peace agreement and brought bloodshed to Gaza.
The JUI chief said that this is part of the history of cowardice, it can never be called bravery. The Holy Quran is a witness to the cowardice of this nation. They broke agreements even during the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). They continue to follow the same path today and are an untrustworthy nation.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that what happened cannot be interpreted as a human act. It is brutality and barbarity. Netanyahu is a war criminal. The International Court of Justice has ordered his arrest. Neither the courts are being listened to nor is the law being respected.
He further said that the so-called human rights champions, America and Europe, are supporting Zionism in the murder of humanity. The Muslim Ummah should increase political pressure on their rulers in their countries.
Yesterday, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council announced to boycott of court proceedings today to express solidarity with Palestinians.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council stated that lawyers would hold protest demonstrations in all districts against the Israeli bombardment in Gaza.
At least 50,000 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli’s ground and air offensive in Gaza since October 2023, Palestinian officials say.
Pakistan, which does not have diplomatic relations with Israel, has consistently criticising Israel for its military operations in Gaza.
