Kailash Valley in Chitral emerges as dream wedding destination for tourist couples

CHITRAL: The Kailash Valley, a tourist destination in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Chitral district, is famous all over the world for sightseeing and entertainment, but now tourist couples are also visiting the valley to make their wedding ceremony more memorable.

One such ceremony was held on May 25 in the village of Bamboreit in the Kailash Valley, in which a woman from Azerbaijan married a young man from Lahore. According to local police, Azerbaijani tourists Gul Zaro Aghiar and Muhammad Obaid Zahid arrived in Chitral from Lahore on the 23rd. The wedding ceremony of both of them was held at a local hotel in which a few locals also attended.

 

According to police, two Azerbaijani tourists, Elman Qaisi and Gul Zaro, came to Pakistan on visit visas and both had travel documents. Kalash women also joined the tourist woman in her joy, who performed a traditional dance and made the ceremony a grand success. Muhammad Obaid, a young man from Lahore, who married an Azerbaijani woman, told media that “it is a love marriage, so we both chose a place where these moments can be made more memorable.”

He said that we saw Kailash all over Pakistan, which is peaceful and the culture here is also unique.According to Muhammad Obaid, “The Azerbaijani woman came with her mother, who liked the natural beauty and people here very much.”Azerbaijani tourists Gul zaro Aghyar and Muhammad Obaid Zahid arrived in Chitral from Lahore on the May, 23rd

 

They said that the marriage ceremony was held in a simple manner in which the local Kalash women participated. ‘The women presented us with gifts made by their own hands, which are priceless to us.’ Mohammad Obaid said that ‘After the marriage, we toured the three valleys of Kailash and are now heading to Hunza Valley for our honeymoon. Apart from tourism, Kailash Valley is also a great place for such happy celebrations.’

 

On the other hand, the citizens of the Kalash tribe congratulated the tourist couple on the occasion of happiness. They said that foreign tourists coming to Chitral for the wedding ceremony is certainly a good message for the tourists of the world, which will further promote tourism. It should be noted that the religious festival of Chilam Josht was also celebrated in Kailash Valley from May 14 to May 17, in which a large number of foreign tourists, including domestic tourists, participated.
