A motorcyclist was injured after being hit by a dumper near Power House Chowrangi in North Karachi. Following the accident, angry locals set several dumpers on fire.
An eyewitness reported that a speeding dumper, driven by a 17-18-year-old boy, crushed two motorcycles. While no one was killed in the crash, the motorcyclist sustained injuries. After the accident, people stopped the dumper and allegedly killed the driver.
Enraged protesters then set fire to seven dumpers—four at Nagan Chowrangi and three at Four-K Chowrangi. The fires were later extinguished.
Police are gathering information about the incident from hospitals across Karachi. Meanwhile, Liaqat Mehsud, leader of the Dumper Association, claimed that 11 of his vehicles were burned. He demanded justice for any injured victims and called for the arrest of those responsible for burning the dumpers.
