Kashmiris' Passion and love for Pakistan and its Army: Amir Muqam

Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan, SAFRON, and President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Amir Muqam, has said that the people of Kashmir are full of passion and hold deep love for Pakistan and the Pakistan Army.

Mr. Muqam made this statement while addressing the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected cabinet of the Shangla Bar Association in Alpuri, Shangla on Saturday, following his return from Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

“Whatever I am today, it is because of the love of the people of Shangla. My life and property are here for them,” he said. He added that the people of Shangla made history by standing against terrorism and sacrificing for the entire country.

Amir Muqam, who also holds the position of President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reiterated that his achievements are rooted in the unwavering support of Shangla’s people. “My life and property are here for them,” he emphasised. “The people of Shangla fought terrorism by making sacrifices for the entire country and made history.”

He expressed these views during various meetings and addresses with the newly elected bodies of the District Bar Association Shangla, Muslim League Lawyers Forum District Shangla, Muslim League All Teachers Association, Judicial District Clerk Association, and Khuli Kachhari Party officials at different locations.

While speaking, Engineer Amir Muqam highlighted that Shangla’s role in fighting terrorism was pivotal and added, “Now, whenever the issue of national integrity arises, the people of the entire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Shangla will be at the forefront.”

He affirmed that he would continue to play his role in the development of Shangla whenever the opportunity arises.

During the ceremony, he administered the oath to the newly elected body of the District Bar Association Alpuri. Congratulating the new members, the Federal Minister expressed best wishes and hoped that the new leadership would work sincerely for the welfare of the legal community.

“I have always stood by you and will continue to do so,” he assured the Bar members. He acknowledged the special status of the Shangla Bar Association, praising it for consistently raising its voice on key issues. He expressed gratitude for being made an honorary member of the Bar Association.

During his address, Amir Muqam also paid tribute to Mutawakil Khan, who recently passed away in a traffic accident.

He strongly condemned India’s baseless allegations against Pakistan, stating, “Without any evidence, India has started a series of accusations, which is regrettable.”

“Our desire is peace,” he said. “But if India imposes war, the entire nation will stand with the Pakistan Army and defeat any aggression.”

Sharing his recent experience of spending three to four days on the Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, he noted, “The people of Kashmir are full of passion and love Pakistan and the Pakistan Army immensely. This passion is unbeatable.” He saluted their patriotism and commitment.

“This is the difference between us and India,” he added. “Our people love the Pakistan Army, and if there is a war, every citizen will support it. The entire nation is united, just as our ancestors were during the freedom movement of Kashmir. It is an honour for us to become martyrs or ghazis in the protection of our country.”

Concluding his address, he said, “Wherever I receive respect, it is the result of the love of the people of Shangla, who have always supported me. I strive to do good with sincerity and believe that Allah Almighty helps those who act with good intentions.”
