Khalistan leader claims Pakistan’s “Victory” led to Modi’s “political death”

Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, a prominent leader of the pro-Khalistan separatist movement, has made strong statements regarding the recent Indian election results, claiming they represent a defeat for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a victory for Pakistan.

Speaking on private news channel, SAMAA TV’s program Nadeem Malik Live, Pannu reiterated his group’s stance: “We had said that if India attacks, we will stand with Pakistan and we stand with Pakistan.” He described Prime Minister Modi as “the enemy of Pakistan and Muslims.”

Pannu directly linked Pakistan to the Indian election outcome: “Pakistan won and India lost,” he declared, adding that “Pakistan’s victory has led to Modi’s political death.” This phrase refers to the perceived weakening of Modi’s political position following elections where his party failed to secure a majority on its own.

Pannu leads the banned organization Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), which advocates for a separate Sikh homeland called Khalistan. His views are highly controversial and strongly rejected by the Indian government.
