ISLAMABAD: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has suggested the possibility of a government change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), citing a mix of “elected and non-elected elements” causing instability in the PTI-led province. Speaking to a private TV channel, Asif claimed these forces are undermining governance and hinted at efforts to restore stability .

Asif sharply criticized the PTI’s internal divisions, comparing the party to “cooked rice with colored grains” where conflicting statements from leaders – including the founder’s sisters – create an incoherent narrative. “Who is plain, and who is of what color? I don’t understand,” he remarked, implying disarray within the opposition party .
