PESHAWAR: The process of reforming the rules and procedures of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has been completed. An important meeting chaired by Speaker Babar Saleem Swati was held today, attended by members from various parliamentary parties.
Key amendments to the rules were finalised after extensive consultation and discussion. These reforms are the result of a comprehensive consultative process involving multiple sessions and engagement with legal experts, assembly members, and other relevant stakeholders. Every aspect of the rules was carefully reviewed and updated to align with contemporary requirements, aiming to make the legislative process more efficient, transparent, and effective.
Speaking at the meeting, Speaker Babar Saleem Swati said these reforms represent a significant step toward strengthening the democratic process. He appreciated the efforts of the committee members, assembly staff, and Deputy Speaker, expressing confidence that the updated rules will contribute to a more robust and functional parliamentary system.
