The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has introduced the “Jwandon OPD Card” as another important step to bring health facilities to the common man.
Through this card, complete OPD services including examination, diagnosis and medicines will be provided free of cost to the deserving citizens.
The project was formally inaugurated by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Advisor Ehtesham Ali at the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Takht Bhai.
An inaugural ceremony was held in this regard in which CEO Sehat Sahulat Program Dr. Riaz Tanoli, DHO Mardan Dr. Shoaib, MSTHQ Dr. Akhunzada Imran Johar and President Insaf Doctor Forum Dr. Nabi Jan and others participated.
In his address at the inaugural ceremony, Health Advisor Ehtesham Ali said that “Jhundoon Card” is not just a facility but a guarantee of a dignified life for the common man.
He further said that earlier, only inpatients were provided treatment facilities under Sehat Card Plus, but now general patients are also being provided complete and free OPD facilities through ‘Jhundoon Card’. Initially, this program was started in Mardan, Kohat, Malakand and Chitral, which is being run with the support of the German organisation KfW. More than 50 thousand deserving families will benefit from this project in Mardan, while more than 60 government and private health centres are being registered where these services will be available. Ehtesham Ali said that Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, has allocated a huge amount of two billion rupees for this program, fulfilling the promise made to the public of free treatment. He said that general citizens can check their eligibility by sending an SMS with their CNIC number to 9930. Eligible persons will be provided free OPD facilities at the nearest registered health centre.
